Recipients of 2018 - 2019 scholarships announced

The Constitutional Court Trust is pleased to announce its scholarship recipients for the  2018 - 2019 academic year to study towards Masters of Law degrees abroad.

Tebogo Moloko is the recipient of the Franklin Thomas Fellowship, and will be studying at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tebogo graduated from the University of Cape Town with Bachelor of Business Science Management Studies and LLB degrees. He then did his articles at Bowman Gilfillan, before serving as a legal researcher to Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng at the Constitutional Court of South Africa in 2017 - 2018.

Lara Wallis is the recipient of the Ismail Mahomed Fellowship and will be studying at the University of Columbia in New York.

Lara pursued her LL.B. and LL.M. at the University of Cape Town with the sole intention of becoming a human rights lawyer. After graduation, she gained wide-ranging experience at several non-profit organizations in South Africa, including the Legal Resources Centre and the Centre for Environmental Rights, and was admitted as an attorney in 2016. She then served as a legal researcher to Justice Mhlantla at the Constitutional Court of South Africa in 2017 - 2018.
